Growing up in rural Australia set the character of my art-making – an earthy, pragmatic directness. It’s the Aussie straightforward personality that distinguishes my approach as well as the temperament of the images I create. Together with daily drawing and painting from the model, my second profession as a Yoga Therapist defines my fascination, respect, knowledge, and enthusiasm for the human figure. In my yoga work, I assist individuals with all varieties of health issues to find ease, strength, and stability within their bodies. In the art studio, I celebrate the uniqueness of each body and strive to present the essence that inhabits that body. After completing my degrees from the Victorian College of the Arts in Melbourne, Australia, I traveled and worked throughout Asia, Europe, and North Africa before settling in the United States. My art ranges from the figurative to the abstract. I work primarily in watercolor, oil, acrylics, and a variety of drawing mediums.
